Villa Comunale Fabriani

La villa signorile di un'importante famiglia, oggi "casa" dell'Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale.

This elegant building, with a frescoed interior (early years of the 20th Century) takes its name from its original owners, the Fabriani, an old and notable bourgeois family from Spilamberto. From the 18th to 20th Century, the Fabriani family were active in the government of the city and some family members played an important role in science and culture such as Severino, an illustrious historian and pedagogue and father of one of the methods used in teaching the deaf and dumb.

Another significant Fabriani is Pio Pacifico, thanks to whom it is possible to understand the method of preparing the Balsamic Vinegar of Modena.

The villa is now home to the Consorteria dell’Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena Spilamberto and the Museo del Balsamico Tradizionale.

The stately villa of an important family, today home of Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale.
