Tour of Acetaia La Vecchia Dispensa

Acetaia La Vecchia Dispensa is located a few kilometres away from Modena, in the historical centre of Castelvetro. Its vinegar cellar is kept in the inside of a tower dated back to the 16th century and it is a unique opporunity to visit. A real dive in the past, in a timeless atmosphere, among balsamic intense fragrances and fine vinegar barrels.

HISTORIC ACETAIA

The experience starts with a guided tour in the Historic Acetaia, located in the medieval Prison Tower that dates back to the XVI century. Today this tower hosts the most antique barrels of the family Pelloni- Tintori, producers of Balsamic Vinegar for four generations. After a detailed explanation of the story and production of the Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, the tour continues with a guided tasting of aged Balsamic Vinegars served according to the tradition on a porcelain spoon. The tasting is accompanied by recommendations and suggestions for the best use of different products.


ACETAIA 100

The experience ends with the tasting of the precious Centenary Balsamic Vinegar, 100 years of aging. A unique product in a limited edition of not more than 50 small bottles per year.

A unique journey of flavours in the very heart of the beautiful Castelvetro di Modena.
