La collina delle fiabe, un luogo magico nel centro di Castelnuovo
Located in the Parco Rio Gamberi of Castelnuovo Rangone, the Collina delle Fiabe (Fairytale Hill) was set up in 1998 with the shapes of several famous characters from children’s literature. Pinocchio, Mangiafuoco’s puppet show, Little Red Riding Hood, Alice in Wonderland and Pulcinella fishing in the lake are the protagonists that animate the hill.
The shapes were designed by Emanuele Luzzati, an internationally renowned Genoese scenographer, and made by the Teatro della Tosse in Genoa. The bond between Castelnuovo Rangone and Luzzati was further strengthened in June 200, when the Municipality conferred honorary citizenship on the artist. In October 2006, an installation was placed near the Collin delle Fiabe in memory of the culture and sacrifice of the native Americans.
The Collina delle Fiabe is also an advocate for the link between Castelnuovo and artistic creativity, just like the Parco Sandro Pertini, set up in its turn with reproductions by the cartoonist Andrea Pazienza.
