How the Zocca woods become works of art. A tour through works of art drawn from nature
Since 2012, artists of various nationalities have created their works directly on site, using natural materials mainly provided by the forest. The works remain today as evidence of the harmonious interaction generated by free creative collaboration between Man and Nature.
The route can be visited all year round. Starting from the Ancient Hospice of San Giacomo (Chestnut and Borlengo Museum, Via San Giacomo 724 in Lame di Zocca), the walk leads to the Chestnut Grove of Monte San Giacomo covering a distance of about 2 km. Duration of the walk: approx. 1 hour.
‘ARTinWOOD’, promoted by the ‘La Slucadora’ Cultural Association, with the patronage of the Municipality of Zocca, the Sassi di Roccamalatina Regional Park and Promappennino, is a naturalistic/creative project conceived and coordinated by Maurizio Costantino Molinari and Chiara Moia.
An event is held every year in September to create five new works to add to the existing ones.
