Guiglia’s Castle will be taken back to the year 1266, recreating the siege suffered by Count Ugolino, an event linked to the origins of the Borlengo of Guiglia.
The castle courtyard will host a medieval encampment set up by the besieging forces, ready to take the field for battle. The camp will be fully open to visitors, and reenactors will demonstrate ancient crafts, weaponry, and combat techniques. Activities such as archery and sword-fighting trials will also be available.
Throughout the event, several games suitable for the whole family will be offered. Visitors will also have the opportunity to tour the castle accompanied by guides, who will share the history and anecdotes of this remarkable fortress.
As part of the event, a medieval-themed animated lunch will also take place, in the company of the Count and his court.
